Re: Howto update to 00.56

Hey Clone, I tried this again this morning. I copied/pasted your commands directly from this thread into my PuTTY SSH session connected to my hub. I am good to go until step #6, the reboot. After step4... cat /database/DO_UPDATE This should be 1... 1 says "next time I boot, boot into the updat...

Re: Howto update to 00.56

I just followed the instructions in the main post line by line... I changed the formatting and added some verification/explanation but the process generally worked for me. Here are my final results (00.05 update, 00.56 main firmware): [root@flex-dvt ~]# for i in `find /database/cf* -type f`; do echo...

Re: root and version .55, .56, and on?

Hello, If you've already got root on version 0.55, is it worth it to upgrade to 0.56? I'm not even sure what the current version is now. I'd like to add Cree lights, which seems to be available only on version .56 firmware and the latest Android app, but maybe I'm wrong? Is there a chance that upgr...

Re: Work in Progress - Howto

Hello, and thank you for the awesome info on rooting this device. I have rooted my hub fresh out of the box, and I'm working to upgrade it while maintaining root, following this post by copying/pasting, so as to avoid typos. I have gotten to the following step, and I'm getting an error: [root@flex-...

Re: Changing the LED color on the hub

I've played around a bit with the RGB... It should just keep doing whatever it was last told to do. So, if you change it manually then say turn a light on via the app, it'll receive a new command (acknowledging the app request to turn the light on), it'll stop doing what you told it to do. You can s...

Re: Lurking

As a suggestion and help to the original poster we should have a new category perhaps called UnSupported Devices... We can post success or failure there with unsupported wink hub devices.. For instance tonight I connected my PEQ zigbee motion sensor.. Which is a rebranded centralite. I can report i...

Re: Serial Console Info

So, to confirm: in stock 00.55 (or higher) firmware, you cannot log in through the serial console? By default? no... You must have already rooted the hub and removed the "#" from the ttyAM0 serial console line. BAD: (note the '#' at the very beginning of the line.) [root@flex-dvt ~]# cat ...
