Now happily on 00.82 :)

Are you still happily at 00.82? Mine got hit with the http://recovery.wink.com/ issue. Just curious.

Re: ACTION REQUIRED: Your Wink Hub needs to be replaced

I have about 11 hubs which I've been playing with, only a few of which were likely plugged in at the time (not all at the same location), the one that was plugged in was hit. I'm investigating what exactly went wrong but I think this was just a glitch on Wink's part and not aimed at rooting users. I...

Re: Howto update to 00.82

Yes, you can skip to step #4 if you can already ssh to your wink hub. With that said I can SSH into the wink, login to the root account. Do I still need to follow Step 1? If so should "curl http://192.168.0.1/set_dev_value.php" in Step 1 be your new IP address, the IP when you join Wink to...

Re: Updating rooted Wink Hub Error

I too have finally gotten mine updated. I had set the cf_fver3 manually trying to trick the app into thinking the hub was updated and that was blocking me from updating. Removed the flag file and it went through like a charm. removing /database/cf_fver3 appears to be a great way to prompt an update...

Re: Attaching Devices to Rooted Wink Hub?

Is there a trick to rest the bulbs so they can be rediscovered? I've tried turning the switch off and on and even unscrewed the bulb. The only trick I've learned is to go through the process like 8 times. It's a pain in the (_)(_). I just keep flipping the light switch on/off, leaving it on for at ...

That's great Jonesie. Both that you're all set with your new out of the box hub and that the directions successfully got you there!

Re: Mounting Wink UBI update image on PC

I'm getting 404 errors when I click the link. Same when I try using curl on the Wink. I guess they're getting hip to the hackers? Jonesie hmm, works for me. If you're attempting from curl, you may need the ca-certificates.crt file... if so, here it is. # AMAZON certificate Certificate: Data: Versio...

Re: Howto update to 00.56

I'm wondering if my Hub has some bad memory. The output of the upgrade.sh script, shows the following: ubiformat: 223 eraseblocks have valid erase counter, mean value is 7 ubiformat: 1 bad eraseblocks found, numbers: 155 Jonesie, It appears it does a bad block in the flash... however, I'm no expert...
