Re: [SOLVED] Connect to a new WiFi network (change pass) for already rooted device

stupidly, I didn't realize that for rooted device all "normal" ways of communication work as well: I could simply connect by ssh as usual and edit the wpa_supplicant.conf directly

[SOLVED] Connect to a new WiFi network (change pass) for already rooted device

my hub is rooted, updated to one of the latest versions of the firmware, root worked well after that etc. Now, my WiFi router has changed, it has the same SSID but new password, and I need to update this info in Wink's config. Wink hub is visible as AP with SSID "WINKHUB-NNNNNN-XXXX", and ...

lost root upon upgrading to the last (00.82) version

I tried to update my (previously rooted) hub using the instructions. First, I should note that I already had 00.56 version at that moment, but I still tried to repeat all instructions from the very first line - maybe it was bad idea... Here is what I had: [root@flex-dvt ]# for i in `find /database/c...

Re: Work in Progress - Howto

UPD. Update worked fine after I've unblocked hub-updates.winkapp.com and wink-hub-images.s3.amazonaws.com at my /etc/hosts. At the same time, one remaining question: when my phone's app says an update is available and suggests to apply it - I should not accept it as it can "unroot" the dev...

Re: Connecting to Wink app after rooting

Here is simple instructions if someone will have the same problem: 1) Delete /database/wpa_supplicant.conf (well, I've just renamed it) 2) reboot device 3) Launch Wink app, add hub, choose your home network SSID (not winkhub!) and corresp...

Connecting to Wink app after rooting

I rooted my Wink hub before connecting to Wink app. Unfortunately at that time I didn't know about this site, so I used some combination of different other sources. As a result - the hub is obviously rooted, I can access it via SSH and SCP, I also successfully connected it to my WiFi network by dire...

Re: Work in Progress - Howto

I tried to follow these steps, but on running /root/platform/upgrade.sh I get errors: cat: can't open '/database/cf_url': No such file or directory cat: can't open '/database/cf_fver0': No such file or directory No valid version for part 0, set to 00.00 cat: can't open '/database/cf_fver1': No such ...
